What is Rawi?
Rawi is an app for exploring the Quran. It brings the stories of the prophets and peoples of the Quran to life through narrated audio, lets you read and listen to all 114 surahs with translations, and offers an AI companion — Rawi AI — to explore Quranic wisdom in your own words. It's designed to be a calm, thoughtful way to reconnect with the Book.
How does the audio work?
Every story can be played as narrated audio, and each surah can be played with recitation by Abdul Basit, with the currently playing verse highlighted as you follow along. Audio keeps playing in the background and on your lock screen, so you can listen on a walk, during your commute, or while winding down. You'll find speed, skip, and seek controls in the player.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. Download a story to your device and it will play without a connection — on a flight, a road trip, or anywhere signal is scarce. Your downloads live in the Library tab, where you can also see how much space they use and remove them when you're done.
What is Rawi AI and how does it work?
Rawi AI is a companion you can ask about the Quran — a story, a lesson, a verse, or a question in plain language. Your message is sent to an AI service that generates a reply, which appears in your chat. It's meant to help you explore and reflect, not to issue religious rulings (fatwa). For matters of religious ruling, please consult a qualified scholar.
Is there a limit on Rawi AI?
Free users can send a set number of messages to Rawi AI each day. If you reach the daily limit, you can continue the next day or upgrade for unlimited questions. Your remaining messages are shown in the chat screen.
Which languages does Rawi support?
Rawi is available in English, Turkish, and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout for Arabic. You can change the language any time in Settings → Language — it's independent of your phone's system language.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Rawi doesn't ask for your name, email, or a password. When you first open the app, an anonymous profile is created automatically so your favorites, downloads, and settings stay in sync — but it isn't tied to your real-world identity.
Are my chats with Rawi AI private?
Your conversations are stored on your device so you can revisit them, and your messages are sent to an AI service to generate replies. We do not keep a copy of your chat history on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What's included with Premium?
A Rawi subscription unlocks the full experience — all premium stories, full audio narration and downloads, unlimited Rawi AI questions, the Verse of the Day widget, and an ad-free, distraction-free app. Free users can enjoy a selection of stories to start.
How do subscriptions and billing work?
Rawi offers an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google Play account on Android), and the subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the Play Store on Android.
How do I restore a purchase?
If you reinstalled Rawi or got a new phone, open the app and use the "Restore Purchases" option on the paywall. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, so it will come back as long as you're signed in with the same account.
How do I delete my data?
Your favorites, downloads, chat history, and settings are stored on your device and are removed when you delete the app. If you'd also like us to delete the anonymous data associated with your installation, email us at support@codexia.app and we'll take care of it.
